Jeanine is a co-founder of The Tudor Peacock and has been involved in the business right from the start.
A nanny by trade, Jeanine has always harboured ambitions to work in the hospitality industry and is now a duty manager of The Tudor Peacock. Jeanine’s interest in wine was sparked during a 4 year stint living in the foothills of the Jura mountains, between Geneva and Lausanne, surrounded by vineyards. It was therefore apt that Jeanine moved to Chilham in 2012, a village that is now too surrounded by vineyards.
She has loved learning about Kentish wine, and is working towards her WSET Level 2 qualification, and is now passionate about passing that knowledge on to our customers and making their experience at The Tudor Peacock as wonderful as it possibly can be.
Away from work, Jeanine is married (to co-founder Nick!) and together they have three children - Harrison, Freya and Isabel. Jeanine loves to travel and likes nothing more than reading a good book on a sunny beach somewhere!
Sasha was born and raised in South East London; the daughter of publicans. In her early 20’s, whilst living and working in her parents pub, she decided to become cabin crew and flew for Emirates and Virgin Atlantic. As a result, she loves travelling and sampling local wine and gastronomy.
Hospitality is definitely in her blood; it wasn’t unusual for her to land from a flight in the morning and be behind the bar in the evening! It was here she met her husband and went on to have 2 wonderful boys.
In 2014 the family had the opportunity to move to Dubai where they lived for 3 years. They decided to relocate to the Canterbury area for schools and have settled there ever since.
Sasha has since worked in the luxury retail sector- it was at a work event that she first tasted English sparkling wine. A huge passion ignited and she will always try to choose English (especially Kent!) wine wherever she goes.
She is very excited to be part of The Tudor Peacock Team and brings with her a passion for customer service and hospitality. It’s such an exciting time to be part of the Kent wine industry!
Brian studied natural sciences (physics) at the University of Cambridge and holds a Master of Arts degree. He subsequently embarked on a career in finance which saw him move to Singapore in 1990 where he spent 25 years. He held several senior roles, most recently with Standard Chartered Bank. He has three grown-up children, all born and raised in Singapore. In 2015 Brian and his wife returned to the UK, initially living in Chilham. In addition to an obvious passion for wine, his hobbies include skiing and endurance sports, having completed two Ironman distance triathlons.
Wine has been a long-standing interest with an extensive cellar built over three decades. While in Asia the family owned a holiday house in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia with a small non-commercial vineyard, which provided insights into both viticulture and vinification. Upon retiring to the UK, Brian embarked on his formal wine education. This culminated in the award of the WSET Diploma in Wines, passing with distinction, in 2021. He also holds the WSET Level 3 Award in sake.
Brian has worked with the International Wine Challenge for several years, gaining further exposure to wines of the world. While he enjoys a glass of sherry or Madeira, his favourite international grape variety is Chardonnay due to its versatility and diversity of styles. He now lives in Elham, at the heart of the Kent wine scene, and is excited about helping others appreciate and understand the amazing wines that Kent has to offer due to its unique terroir.
Harrison is part of The Tudor Peacock family, with his mum Jeanine one of our Duty Managers and a co-founder of the business.
Harrison is currently completing his A-Levels, but has worked part-time in both The White Horse and the Woolpack in Chilham. He will now be working across both the shop and bar at The Tudor Peacock, predominantly at weekends.
He’s enjoying learning about Kentish Wine!
Christian has been involved in The Tudor Peacock from the very start. He has over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry, predominantly in his hometown of Augsburg, Germany, where he was also a professional television cameraman!
He arrived in Chilham in September 2019 after falling in love with the village and its Tudor buildings. He is passionate about wine, particularly sparkling, and has completed a number of tours of the Champagne region, as well as of course several Kentish vineyards.
